Dr. Kennedy is a Colorectal Surgeon at Mount Sinai Hospital and researcher at Mount Sinai’s Samuel Lunenfeld Research Institute. Additionally, she is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery and the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation. Her clinical interest is in the treatment of colorectal cancer. Erin is an internationally recognized expert in Patient Centred Care, Qualitative Research Methods and Shared Decision Making in Surgery and has been successful at developing a wide collaborative network both locally, provincially and nationally.
Dr. Kennedy has an excellent record of grant capture and publications including PI on 2 Canadian Institute of Heath Research (CIHR) grants and other peer reviewed grants. In April 2010, she was recognized as the Researcher of the Month by the Canadian Cancer Society. Erin Teaches a graduate course on the measurement of patients’ preferences in health care decision making at the University of Toronto.
