Rebecca Gladdy

Dr. Gladdy is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at The University of Toronto. Her clinical practice is focused on the management of soft tissue sarcomas and GI cancers. Dr. Gladdy is also a Clinician-Scientist at the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research (OICR) and her research laboratory is at Samuel Lunenfeld Research Institute at Mount Sinai Hospital where she is currently conducting research in the genetics of sarcoma. |

A
graduate of Queen’s University Medical School, Dr. Gladdy entered the
General Surgery Training Program at The University of Toronto in 1996.
During her general surgery training, she undertook research studies as a
graduate student in cancer genetics at The University of Toronto, and
received her Ph.D. in Molecular Biology in 2003. She became a Fellow of
the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in 2005. After a
Clinical Fellowship in Surgical Oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering
Cancer Center in New York City, NY, she began her Surgical Oncology
Staff Appointment at Mount Sinai and Princess Margaret Hospitals in
2008.
