You are invited to participate in a research study:
Immune response after Covid-19 vaccination during maintenance therapy in immune-mediated inflammatory diseases:  an observational cohort study (IMPACT)
This study is in collaboration with the University of Toronto.

You can participate if:

  • You have been diagnosed by your physician with an immune-mediated inflammatory disease (IMID) such as Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, ankylosing spondylitis or any other IMID
  • You may be asked to participate even if you do not have an IMID
  • You are 18 years or older
  • You are about to be vaccinated for COVID-19

Description of Research Study:

We will measure the immune response following COVID-19 vaccination. This involves providing a blood sample approximately 4 times, in-person.  We aim to understand whether or not immunosuppressive medication in IMID affects the immune response to vaccination. This study could lead to improvements in understanding the effects of medications in IMID and help with future pandemic preparation and epidemiological studies.
