Adam Weizman, M.D., FRCP(C)
Gastroenterologist
Dr. Weizman was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba where he received his medical degree from the University of Manitoba in 2006. He subsequently did a Residency in Internal Medicine and Fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Toronto. He completed the Advanced Fellowship in Inflammatory Bowel Diseases at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California and a Master's degree (MSc) in Quality Improvement and Patient Safety from the Institute of Health Policy, Evaluation, and Management at the University of Toronto. Dr. Weizman joined the Division of Gastroenterology at Women's College Hospital and the Mount Sinai Hospital Centre for Inflammatory Bowel Disease in 2013. He is a Clinician in Quality and Innovation and Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Toronto. Dr. Weizman has an interest in quality improvement in gastrointestinal disease and is involved in researching innovative models of delivering high quality care. He is a member of the Division of Gastroenterology Quality Improvement Committee, Chair of the Division of Gastroenterology Quality Improvement Rounds, and sits on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Digestive Health Foundation. He also has an interest in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and has published and presented at national and international meetings on this topic. Dr. Weizman is involved in teaching at both the undergraduate and post-graduate levels.
